Matthew High represents established businesses and individuals in all aspects of civil litigation on the plaintiff and defense side. His practice encompasses the defense of clients in employment and business litigation. Matthew has experience representing a variety of clients including insurance companies, restaurants, auto suppliers, and health care facilities. Prior to working at KORO, Matthew spent years working at a AM Law 100 firm, and Director of Legal and Labor Affairs at a local district.
Prominent Assignments
Assisted in obtaining dismissal of a first-party action on behalf of an insurer client, demonstrating plaintiff failed to show associated expenses were reasonable or customary as required by law.
Succeeded in summary disposition motion against plaintiff who alleged that a multinational automaker negligently hired an engineering intern.
Second-chaired a two-day jury trial resulting in favorable verdict involving a breach of distribution agreement.
Successfully argued a summary disposition motion on behalf of an insurance carrier in medical billing dispute.
Assisted in negotiation of successful teacher Collective Bargaining Agreement on behalf of Oakland County school district.
Successfully argued a summary disposition motion on behalf of an urgent care facility sued in slip-and-fall accident.
Helped obtain summary disposition against plaintiff representing himself in race discrimination lawsuit.
Obtained TRO on behalf of education technology company in non-compete case.
Obtained summary disposition against three plaintiffs who alleged they suffered threshold injuries in an automobile accident. Affirmed on appeal.
Represented American auto manufacturer is race discrimination class action lawsuit.
